Carrying The Weight - Navy SEAL Kyle Reed, Taking On The 20Mountain220

Intro: War Planning
LINEAR Supply drops athlete and Navy SEAL Kyle Reed into one of the most grueling challenges in the endurance arena — the 20Mountain220 presented by 3Bravo.org. This isn’t just another ultra. It’s a 220-mile crucible that forces athletes to carry 22 pounds on their backs, honoring the 22 veterans lost to suicide every day.
The mission? Conquer 20 mountains. Endure brutal mileage. Carry the weight — literally and symbolically. And finish what only a handful would choose to take on.
This is more than a race. It’s a stand. And Kyle is built for it.
Part 1: The Mission Begins
The journey toward the 20Mountain220 started months before the first step was taken. Kyle’s decision to take on this event was rooted in purpose — to bring visibility to the staggering reality of veteran suicide.
Every mile, every mountain, every pound carried represents those who couldn’t carry the weight any longer. It’s a subject that is difficult to face, layered with complexities, but Kyle’s mission was clear: shine a light where it’s needed most, and NEVER QUIT.
Part 2: Equipped For The Fight
Carrying weight, moving under pressure, enduring punishing conditions — this is a language Kyle already speaks fluently. At LINEAR, we knew he needed the right kit to meet the demands of this task.
That’s why we outfitted Kyle with The Baseline Series, gear designed to endure the same punishment he would. Our anti-pilling, anti-odor and anti-abrasion technology was literally designed for this. But we didn’t stop there — we wanted to capture every step of the journey.
We sent Air Force veteran and videographer Josh Harrell to document Kyle’s training and execution. The mission wasn’t just about surviving the 20Mountain220. It was about showing how LINEAR gear holds up in the environments it was crafted for — where weakness gets exposed, and only the strongest remain.
Part 3: Mission Accomplished

After days of unrelenting punishment, Kyle and his team completed the 220-mile odyssey, crushing 20+ mountains, enduring scorching desert heat, hail storms and battling massive elevation gains that tested every ounce of willpower.

From ice buckets soaking scathed feet and ankles to IVs flowing hydration back into their bodies each day, this was truly a ONE TEAM, ONE FIGHT mentality.

The mission ended where it belonged — at elevation. Standing on the apex with a panoramic view of the mountains conquered, Kyle embodied the DNA of never quitting, an ethos he and LINEAR knows all to well.
This wasn’t just about finishing an ultra. It was about raising awareness for the fight against veteran suicide and proving what’s possible when purpose drives the mission.
Kyle didn’t just run the 20Mountain220. He carried it. He owned it. And he conquered it.
