Rising to roughly 3,650 feet and nearly 1,000 feet above the city floor, Table Rock Quarry stands as one of the region’s most striking landmarks. Once a sacred ceremonial site for the Northern Shoshone people, the area remains rich with artifacts and high-relief markings etched throughout the landscape.
At the summit, panoramic views stretch from the city below to the peaks of Bogus Basin. The sandstone cliffs—formed millions of years ago when this region lay beneath ancient Lake Idaho—give the quarry its distinctive character, making it one of the area’s most sought-after destinations for exploration and unmatched views.

When I would trail run for hours up and through the Sawtooth National Forest and foothills of Boise, I realized very quickly that it was essential I had the right type of gear to cover this type of geography.
I needed supplements, my critical tech and keys. I needed a liner that was soft, airy and didn't inhibit my range of motion. I tried endlessly to find a pair of shorts that met my needs, and I just couldn't find it.
So in 2023 on a long trail run, I had decided to just build my own, and the BASELINE Short was conceived.
